Daily Health Checks

All children and staff are assessed each morning to determine that they are free from symptoms of Covid-19 and other contagious illnesses and that they are well enough to remain in the center. Temperature checks are conducted and any person with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher is not permitted to enter the building.

Lobby Drop Off Only

Families are not permitted to enter the building at drop off and pick up. Once the health check is conducted a member of our staff will escort your child to their classroom. At pick up you will be asked to wait at the door until your child's hands have been washed and they are brought out to you.

Hand Washing

All children and staff entering the building must wash their hands with soap for at least 20 seconds after their health check is conducted. Throughout the day, all children will frequently wash their hands, specifically before and after indoor and outdoor play, before and after all meals and snacks and after using the bathroom.

Classroom Capacity.

In accordance with the CDC and NJ State Licensing Department of Children and Families, we have limited our classroom groups to 15 or fewer children.  Children shall remain in one room for the entirety of the day. Classes shall include the same group of children each day and the same staff members.

Physical Distancing

Interactions between groups will be limited. All staff are required to wear a cloth face mask covering while working in the center. If feasible, children 2 years and older shall be encouraged to wear a cloth face covering. Masks will be removed during eating and rest periods. The center has purchased cloth face masks for each individual child. These will remain at the center to ensure proper cleaning each day.

Cleaning and Sanitizing

We have always gone above and beyond in the cleaning process to ensure a healthy learning environment. During this time we have increased the frequency of cleaning toys, equipment and surfaces. High touch areas are wiped down hourly or more. Staff have multiple changes of clothing in case they come in contact with bodily fluids. Staff wear booties over their shoes in all rooms. Bedding is washed at the center each week or as needed in a sanitizing cycle with sanitizing cleaners.
