Daily Health Checks
All children and staff are assessed each morning to determine that they are free from symptoms of Covid-19, flu, enterovirus and other contagious illnesses and that they are well enough to remain in the center. Temperature checks are conducted by parents and confirmed at the center and any person with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher is not permitted to enter the building.
Vaccines
Interactions between groups will be limited to our best ability. Masks are optional at Hoboken Day Care 100. If you prefer your child to wear a mask while at the center we support you fully. 100% of our staff are vaccinated and more than 3/4 of the staff have received boosters. Flu shots are mandatory for all students. Physicals and vaccination records must be provided to the center.
Drop Off/Pick Up
Families are now permitted to bring their children into the center in the mornings. Pick up remains the same with parents waiting outside the main door for a staff member to bring their child to them.
Hand Washing
All children and staff entering the building must wash their hands with soap for at least 20 seconds after their health check is conducted. Throughout the day, all children will frequently wash their hands, specifically before and after indoor and outdoor play, before and after all meals and snacks and after using the bathroom.
Cleaning and Sanitizing
We have always gone above and beyond in the cleaning process to ensure a healthy learning environment. During this time we have increased the frequency of cleaning toys, equipment and surfaces. High touch areas are wiped down multiple times a day. Staff have multiple changes of clothing in case they come in contact with bodily fluids. Staff wear booties over their shoes in all rooms. Bedding is washed at the center each week or as needed in a sanitizing cycle with sanitizing cleaners.
